Personality:
Tinker Bell, like all fairies of Neverland, is very small, no taller than five inches to be exact. And because of her tiny size she is incapable of feeling more than one emotion at any given time. So when she is happy, she’s only happy. When she’s angry, she’s only angry. Where as larger beings might feel mixed emotions at times, she cannot. She is the epitome of the phrase “when she’s good, she’s very very good. When she’s bad, she’s wicked.” These emotions can and do change on a dime, so she can be kind one moment, and jealous the next.

Because of being able to only have one emotion at a time, she has a very mercurial personality. However, certain traits do seem to linger. She tends to have a very foul mouth, and is described as a ‘common’ fairy. Whether this means she’s just a standard fairy or low bred is not clear, but it’s suggested that she’s the latter. She’s quite brave and is willing to sacrifice herself for those she truly cares about.

While she can be vindictive at times, she doesn‘t lie. She has no qualms about giving partial information out so others will jump to their own conclusions. (She never actually told the Lost Boys that Peter wanted them to shoot Wendy, she just insinuated it and they drew their own conclusions). If asked a direct question, she always tells the truth. If it’s something she’d rather not answer, she usually opts to just stay quiet. Because she doesn’t lie, she also never expects others to lie, and can be easily tricked and mislead.

She is also not used to communicating with most humans and other creatures through anything but facial expressions and gestures, so she is remarkably expressive with body language and her face. Because of this habit, she can be a little bit of a ham, often being overly dramatic when getting her point across. Mostly this is just so she can be understood clearly, rather than because she’s a jokester.

Skills | Powers: Tinker Bell is an actual tinker. Her job is to mend the pots and kettles, and other such things, so she has skills with repairing items made of metal. She can also fly with the use of her wings, though she can’t fly in the rain. She can also generate fairy dust (or pixie dust) that when sprinkled on living beings can make them fly, so long as they think happy thoughts. Theory: Peter Pan did not require applications of pixie dust to fly, however he had been living in Never Neverland for an extremely long time. It is very likely that the effects of fairy dust are cumulative and after long term use, a person would no longer need it to allow them to fly, only happy thoughts. Some objects can also be made to fly, such as the Jolly Roger, but must be manned by enough people thinking happy thoughts for it to fly.

If injured or dying, Tinker Bell can be healed by declarations of belief in fairies. Saying “I do believe in Fairies” can do the trick, or clapping has been known to work as well. In reverse, there is a chance that if someone says “I don’t believe in Fairies” that Tinker Bell might fall down dead. Saying the phrase does not act as a direct weapon to the fairy it’s spoken to, but it does cause a fairy somewhere to die. She also glows, and the brightness of her light is a direct indication of her state of health.

Tinker Bell normally communicates through sounds like that of tinkling bells and accompanying gestures. She will be able to actually speak English when she is in the Underworld, though she may forget to do so at times.

First Person Sample:

[The feed comes on to a slow spinning image: sky, trees, ground, legs, torso, face, sky, repeat. The parts of the person that show are obviously female, and rather attractive (if she does say so herself…and she does). Then the spinning stops and the girl’s face is center stage as she peers into the device, her face getting closer and closer, a look of deep concentration on her features.

There’s the sound of bells, the small cheery kind. And then she holds the device further away from her, scratching her head.

Then she shakes it. When that doesn‘t get any results, she lets out a gusty sigh and pouts prettily.

Third Person Sample:

She kicked at the dirt on the ground, a pout on her lips. Banished. Because of that- that girl. It wasn’t fair! If only Peter hadn’t given her that “kiss”, then he’d have forgotten the great ugly thing and things would be back to normal.

Sulkiness gave way to sorrow. Oh what if he never let her come back?! She couldn’t be just anyone’s fairy! She wasn’t anything if she wasn’t Peter’s fairy! Curling up inside a little a flower, she folded her arms over her knees and cried softly.

But only for a moment. Until she realized she was getting hungry.

She perked her head right up. How long was a week anyway? Surely, it had been a week by now. She was hungry enough that it had to have been a week. Anyway, Peter didn’t even know what a week was. She nodded to herself and flew off toward the underground, all her thoughts centered on dinner.
